On Site Interview Tips
Ones' approach to a face to face interview should be the same if you will be meeting one person for an hour or 10 people in an all-day interview. The goal of an interview is to get an offer, as you can’t accept or turn down a job if it is not offered.
When interviewing with multiple people at separate times, treat each person as a completely different interview and approach with the same manner. Walk with confidence and introduce yourself clearly with a firm handshake and eye contact.
- First Impressions: Unless you are specifically told how to dress, you should always dress professional. Preferably, in a suit or a coat and tie will suffice. Walk with confidence and introduce your self clearly with a firm handshake and eye contact. ENERGY and ENTHUSIASM!!
- When seated, keep good posture and keep eye contact.
- Be prepared to speak about anything on your resume.
- Make sure to do extensive research on the company and the position requirements, in order to speak intelligently about both. If possible, speak to some current employees you may know.
